Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University is famous for his education. It is educational hubs of eastern Uttar Pradesh, India. It is established in 1987 in Jaunpur. The name of University was recognized by the name of Shri Veer Bahadur Singh, former Chief Minister of the state.
VBS PU Jaunpur Started with the 68 affiliated colleges, presently its spectrum of activities with 400+ affiliated graduate and post-graduate colleges. Number of student is more than three lakes in 10 districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

The university is situated few km away from main city of Jaunpur, Jaunpur is a historical city of Uttar Pradesh. Some historical place is located in this city, it is well for tour and travel point- Shahi qila, Atala Masjid, Shahi Bridge -Mughal Emperor Akbar ordered the construction of this Bridge.
